Is it true that interleaving can't be turned off on FTTC/P

I read somewhere that there's no tools for it yet (or something like that), can't remember where though.

Interleaving is set to "auto" on FTTC and can't be switched on/off permanently yet - it will only get switched on if the line is unstable however once the line has re-stabilised the DLM usually sorts it out relatively quickly. Most people won't notice any difference from fastpath on ADSL after moving to FTTC - me included

On a side note, interleaving can be applied separately to the upstream/downstream on FTTC.

That's what I was referring to in my previous post.

An ISP (or indeed end user) cannot request that interleaving is manually turned off. Unlike 21CN where BT operate the DLM with FTTC Openreach operate the DLM and are very resistant to any requests made by a CP.
