Looks as though these prices aren't strictly comparable since the included phone minutes appear to be part of a "free" VoIP package which is only "free" for 12 months of a 24 month contract.

It does look as though competition is getting more intense, even in the B2B sector.

The quoted price does include line rental I think??? plus the vat of course.

Yes looks as though it does include line rental.  At first sight, even if you include VAT the prices look reasonable - 500 anytime minutes/month would be adequate for most.  It's only when you read the small print that you realise you're getting 12 months 'free' VoIP rental and the contract is for 24 months.  You're probably going to pay £10/month or more - the prices appear to be 'on application' - for hosted VoIP, so when that's added it doesn't look so much of a bargain.  And you have to purchase a VoIP handset.

It does give you some idea of which way the wind is blowing.

I think very business orientated does the home non office user have any need for VOIP?

Probably not, but until I read the small print I was looking at it as a straight BB/Phone bundle, in which case it would have been reasonably competitive for a home user looking for quality of service compared to (say) iDNet, Zen, AAISP etc.  I agree that for the average domestic user VoIP is probably pointless.

Actually I thought the whole point of BT's 21CN was that all phone calls eventually became VoIP.  Any differences between domestic/business use would be in the extent of the add-ons.
