Packet loss over past few days and upstream cut in half

Hi guys,

I've just opened a case with IDNet on this but thought I'd ask here to see if anyone has had similar issues or can give me some insight into what may be happening.

Basically, since yesterday I've been seeing a lot of packet loss and my router has re-synced quite a bit. Here is the TBB monitor for yesterday:

This morning around 11am I noticed the router re-syncing again and when I checked the TBB monitor I noticed some packet loss leading up to it. Here is the monitor snapshot from today (ignore the blocks of red at the end - that was when I tested my router in the master socket etc):

When the router re-synced I noticed that my upstream rate has halved (though it could have been like this yesterday as well). Instead of the usual 1050 kbps or so I always get, it's dropped to 522kbs. I'm also seeing that even after a fresh sync that downstream - while at the current speed (between 12000 and 15000) has a noise margin of 2.1db straight away (rather than hitting 6db).

Here are the current stats:

Downstream:
Connection Speed - 13001 kbs
Line Attenuation - 26.5db
Noise Margin - 2.1db

Upstream:
Connection Speed - 522kbs
Line Attenuation - 12.5db
Noise Margin - 5.2db

Any ideas on this? I assume it's most likely BT works (as always) but was wondering if DLM could be kicking in due to the recent resyncs?

I normally wouldn't be too bothered but have a live radio show at 18:00 and could do with my normal upstream. Hoping something can be done but I imagine I'll just have to wait it out.

*EDIT:
Just noticed that my downstream speed is slower than it should be - although the test I used was showing ok speeds 30 minutes ago:

Well it looks like the awesome guys at IDNet have got this sorted. Just noticed my upstream has gone back up to 1180kbs, noise on downstream is up to 3.5db and my ping report is showing a drop in minimum latency.

Speed test looks normal.

Brilliant. Really impressed by that. The show will go on ;)

Did they tell you what the problem was?

I haven't heard back as of yet. Would be interested to know. It suddenly changed without a re-sync. Didn't realise that could happen.
