I have noticed that the new rss feed in Firefox has a problem, well mine does, if I click on a day like the 13th October I get 'Query failed : No database selected' anyone else seeing this? If I click on today's provisional usage it works fine and current usage, its the off peak peak ones that don't work

What are you using as an RSS reader?

I'm using a separate app (Vienna) and it's working fine.

I'm using the live bookmarks in Firefox, Bill. If I go to the idnet website and bring up the rss feed the days are clickable and it does it there as well  :dunno:

Ah... you use RSS differently to me then- Vienna just checks around all the subscribed feeds once an hour and grabs any new ones- like the reader that used to be in Mac Mail before Apple took it out

Sorry, I can't help :(

Have you noticed the issue occurring on IDNets website though Bill? Normally if you click the rss feed on the site then click on a previous day date it brings up the idnet rss feed info with the idnet site graphics behind it. Now it just says Query failed : No database selected  ::)

Might be an idea to let IDNet know, Gary, so Martin can take a look at it.  I can't help either, I'm afraid, as I don't use it.

I have sent an email into support simon so hopefully that can get sorted.  :thumb:

It doesn't work that way in Safari... if I click the feed it just automatically subscribes (if not already) and sends any messages off to Vienna for display. All I see in Safari is an empty tab :dunno:

FWIW I use the Brief add-on in Firefox. It's worked up to now.

The Firefox rss feed has sufficed for me up to now. Todays update has somehow broken it. :dunno: Since I only have two rss feeds I don't really need an add on when Firefoxs works for my needs.

Cheers Bill. I don't use Safari at all in OS X but thanks for explaining  :thumb:

I've no idea if that's what it actually does, but that's the effect... I assume it uses the Notification Centre somehow.

And I've never liked Firefox anyway :P

I know how you feel... I put Ubuntu on an old laptop on Sunday to see how I got on with it- I can see me making use of another forum on here soon!

Yeah... I think some of the hardware may be too old for the drivers, and this morning the 10-year old Freeview box I use on the bedroom TV went belly up.

I'm beginning to know how Zappa felt :bawl:

Well my RSS feed in Firefox is still acting oddly, its fine for current usage and todays provisional usage but the peak off peak days that are listed all come back with 'Query failed : No database selected'   I passed it to support who seemed completely uninterested. They said its because im on a package without peak and off peak but considering its always shown these no matter what, and that current usage shows peak and off peak I think that shows their reasoning maybe flawed...  :dunno:

The feed has started working properly this morning for me, so happy days :) Support did say they were fiddling with it.

And they've fixed yours without breaking mine, so a good start to the day :P
