I found a day or so ago that my router stats gave a DSL retrain. The only reason I noticed was that my sync speed had changed slightly. I called my ISPs C/S who told me that I had not lost sync at there end. So can any one please tell me what a DSL retrain is ?

Since Reset   Current 24-Hour Interval   Current 15-Minute Interval   Time Since Last Event
ATM Cell Header Errors:   1651   631   2   0:05:13
ATM Loss of Cell Delineation:   604   292   0   0:20:08
DSL Link Retrains:   1   0   0   1 day 14:20:59
DSL Training Errors:   1   0   0   1 day 14:20:50

I'm guessing it's what most routers refer to as a framing error or loss of framing, Bill.

Thanks Rik, So what does that mean regards your connection ?

You've had a minor blip, not enough to drop sync but enough to cause the router to re-train with the DSLAM, probably happens in less than a second.
