Hi,

I am looking for some help with port forwarding. I have been checking and I can not seem to show any ports open when running tests from whatsmyip.org and using there port scanner.

I have tried it on my PS4 and Laptop but always get the same messages its a timed out message or connection refused.

I setup port forwarding on the router using the virtual server and also using DMZ but still have the same issue.

I also made sure the firewall options were turned off on the LAN and WAN side.

Does any know a better way to test port forwarding or should the above worked?

Simon

I'm by no means an expert on this, and I'm possibly the least likely person to be able to help, but I did once have a similar issue and it turned out that my ping was being blocked. Have you checked in your router settings that you're not blocking pings?  It may be blocking by default.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the responses.
