idnet app won't log in on home wifi

Hi
anybody have any experience of the idnet ios app not logging in/refusing to "fetch data" when used on home wifi,which is on an Idnet connection,mostly runs in ipv6:-could that be the issue?the connection not falling back to ipv4 for the app maybe? works/logs in fine when on 4g out of the house

No issues here on a XS on 12.1 it logs in fine on both 4G and Wifi on an idnet connection.

is your router on ipv6 as default?

Yes using a Netgear XR500 Also fine on EE which is using IPv6

ee won't be using the idnet broadband connection will it? not sure any netgear gear uses/can use the native idnet IPv6,think it uses toredo tunnelling, there has been a long running debate on some forums about netgear stuff and the native ipv6 implemented here in the uk

The Netgear at my parents' place does do native IPv6, but very badly. No Teredo tunnelling.

I've set it up for PPPoE pass-through, and have pppoe set up on the Raspberry Pi that is their firewall.

was wondering how you got round the netgear issue with ipv6,bought a d7000 which I was "assured was ipv6 compatible"(it wasn't for native)so ended up giving it my brother in law as was out of my exchange period that I found it was not and unlikely to be any time soon,he loves for the wireless side and network file sharing from the usb3 ports it has and its a lot more stable on his line than what was provided by his isp

not just my home connection just tried using my phone connected to my next door neighbours wifi(with his permission in his house lol) and have same issue,may be an issue with my phone or the app or ios 12.1

It does confuse my dad, though, as the light doesn't come on to say "network connected" in that situation.

Incidentally, PPPoE works just fine on ADSLv2 links in the sticks.

spoken to steve at idnet about this,they are aware of the issue with ios devices trying to use the app on wifi that is ipv6 and are working on a fix,seems the way apple have implemented something stops it falling back to ipv4,which does work on a dual stack connection(why does spell checker keep changing idnet to ident lol)

app has been updated and now works with ipv6 connection via wi-fi
