This is kinda a mix of questions/ideas. I feel the supermax is a bit too pricey for users to want to take advantage of it. Perhaps making it slightly cheaper would attract more consumers (inc myself).
Also when you say 15gb off peak included does that mean 15gb as well as 60gb download or 15gb included (if its included i feel perhaps this should be made obvious and the price a bit lower  >:D)

I am more than willing to give testing a go  :P The main reason im saying this is as my parents are already paying £25 a month, i will have to pay the extra lawl...it seems good but i want to be sure of the download limit also a price reduction would definately be beneficial even if it was a few quid (unless its already popular or as low as possible without losing cash)

Thanks idnet

Hi Sam

The 15GB allowance for peak hours is part of the 60GB, iow you have 15GB anytime and 45GB off-peak.

With regards to price, bear in mind this is a Premium package with higher upload speeds and higher priority on the BT network. The price reflects this.

Oh it has a higher priority? Would this give me lower pings and a higher likely hood of faster downloads?

Im quite interested but im holding off as im not sure if it would benefit me...could i trial? :p

Rik

Hi Sam

It should deliver faster pings, and potentially higher download speeds - though the latter is limited by your line, of course.

There's no trial that I know of, and while the upgrade is free, iirc, reverting would not be as it's a change to the underlying BT package, for which IDNet have to pay.

You could give IDNet a ring and see what they could do for you.

ill post up my stats later on when im back from college. i think i may have been put on interleaving as my pings used to go down to 16ms about on css, now only 30.

Im synced pretty low  :-\ and pings are always at 30+ on counter strike source whereas they used to drop to about 10 at times...  :-X

Rik

There's something wrong with those stats, Sam. For a 26db attenuation, I'd expect to see you on a full 8M sync. The clue seems to be in the noise margin. At 23db, that's higher than BT's highest setting (15db), so the first thing to try would be an alternative router.

Draytek vigor 2800g ftw? More money ftl... >:(

Still need to get:

New chair
New desk
Watercooling
DX10 card sometime
:-[ lol

Shall i keep an eye on it on ebay?

Rik

Why not talk nicely to support, Sam. Explain the problem and see if they could lend you a router - or could you borrow one from a friend? You only need it briefly, if it's a router issue, it should show immediately with higher sync and a noise margin of 15db or less.

Yea ill try - the 2800g seems a nice piece of kit anyway

Ill see wot support can do
