How do we add our own themes to our blogs?

Its only temp for now until i complete my own blogging system for my website.

Rik

If you login, you can upload more themes:

"You can find additional themes for your site in the WordPress theme directory. To install a theme you generally just need to upload the theme folder into your wp-content/themes directory. Once a theme is uploaded, you should see it on this page."

Anyone figured out how to log into the blog webspace yet to upload content?

Have you tried logging in to WordPress, Scott - or were you looking to upload more than text?

I have a feeling that the service may be a bit more basic than you would like, Scott.  :( Could you not upload to the (shared) webspace, and link to that?

You might be surprised how feature-rich Wordpress is Rik, supports widgets, plugins, and is highly extensible. For blogs that are hosted in the Wordpress.org cloud there's no explicit ftp facility exposed to the blog owner however IDNet afaics have purchased the product and slapped it into their domain.
If it resides in the same hosted space as the webspace we've just been given then Yep, I probably do need to log into that then browse to the directory structure to do my tinkering from there.

I've a question out with support@idnet so I'll post back once I have answers.

More soon.

We'll be waiting, Scott. How do you like all our new toys? :)

There's no ability to log onto your Wordpress installation as it's a single install for all users of the feature. They're reviewing file permissions but of course edits to themes aren't acceptable as change for one person will replicate to all.

You can send them themes you'd like incorporated.

Other than that - not perfect but better than we had before so all good.

hrm is this wordpressMU http://mu.wordpress.org/ - by any chance? I've been playing around with MU now for some webdev for a few months, interesting to know if Idnet have picked it up and what (if any) mu specific plugins they're using.

Rik

If no-one here knows, your best bet would be to give support a call and ask.
