I took this from adsl forum.
Those customers who
choose to upgrade will continue to pay the same monthly fee as they do now
until the anniversary of when they joined IDnet, at which time the monthly
fee will be adjusted to the prevailing tariff at that time.

Does this mean I will only pay £22.99 untill my year is up, or my month ???

Its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

Goggo

Not sure, I paid for 1 year on the (now) Home Lite package to get 1 month free so my anniversary should be on 01/02/07.
The word 'anniversary' derives from the Latin 'anno' for year so I assume that for IDnet customers it will be a year rather than a month, although you are on a monthly contract.

Coopes

The reason I ask is, I have only been with IDNet for a couple of weeks, so if I only have to pay £22.99
for the 8meg connection its a great deal. Not that bothered about 8meg 2meg would be fine.

Coopes,
the way I read it is that whatever contract you are currently on, if you take the 8Mb upgrade your monthly payment will remain at it's current level for 12 months from the date your current contract went live, thereafter your monthly payment will revert to whatever is the current fee for your service at that time.

So for me currently:  ;D
Been online for 1 month on Home Lite = £14.99 pm (2Gb inc. + £1 per Gb over per month)

After Upgrade until Feb/March 2007  :banana2:
£14.99 pm (2Gb inc. + £1 per Gb over per month)

Thereafter ?
We'll need to watch for market pressures & responses by IDNet to see what'll happen to the 8mb residential prices after that.

Hope this is clear !? Any probs please feel to PM me.
Cheers

1 mb was the fastest  I could receive so thats what I had to go for, could have worked out
better for me.

Its now 2006 i think.

Jeff

Welcome Bullet! :)

Mark, how much do you download in a month? Do what Scott does, he signed up for cheapest package and pays the £1 per gig extra ... works out cheaper in a month for him ;)

MarkZX12R

I used to be a fairly heavy downloader but since joining IDNet i have modified that somewhat ;D....i dont mind paying as long as i get a speed of 2meg or more!

Jeff

Crikey, you`ll get that at the very least on Max ;)
