Hi all,

I'm currently with F2S and as soon as Tiscalli starts messing things up I'm off.

I like the look of the IDnet offering and think it will fit in quite well.

One question i have is what functions does the webmail system have?

The F2S system does have quite comprehensive filtering and forwarding features that I find very useful. For instance I can set up a list of addresses that will be allowed to go into the inbox, with the rest moved to a folder that requires manual viewing.  I actually use this to filter my younger children's emails to block out some of the rubbish that comes through, they also know that i have to "enable" an address before they can receive mails.

I can also forward mails from specific people to my orange email account which then gives me an sms alert.

i'd be interested to know which platform IDnet use so I can check out the features.

I presume the email accounts are POP3 and IMAP.

Thanks in advance.

Nick

Hi Nick, IDnet have just implemented some changes to their webmail, you can whitelist and blacklist email and set up filters, adjust your spam filtering or disable it entirely, the accounts are pop 3 and Imap. There is also for an option for a small extra fee of advanced filtering but I am not sure what that entails, I'm sure Rik or Lance will be able to help you further with those details and any other issues pertaining to the webmail service :)
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Hi Nick

The webmail interface is fairly bald, but you can add folders and identities there (I've never bothered as you can have as many email addresses as you want).

Filtering is set up from the customer accounts page, and I've attached a couple of screen shots to give you an idea of the kind of filtering you can do.

Thanks for that guys, it looks pretty similar to the F2S offering, mind you that took me 6 months to master it!

Does it do forwarding?  Is there anywhere on the IDnet site that has more information?

Thanks again

One of the options under the 'move to folder' drop down, is to forward. :)

I can't see a support guide for webmail on the site, only for setting up email clients. I'll mention it...
