No access

I have a friend who when he plugs his laptop into his girlfiends modem/router he can not access Microsoft websites or the rugby web site. He took his laptop (running Vista) back to PC world and they could a access the sites. Other PCs on the same router can access the sites. Any thoughts on this would help but once again its a Belkin router , not my fav'.

Could be an MTU issue, Den, but I don't think you can tweak that in Vista. What's the router set to?

It might, but this seems unlikely, be a DNS issue, of it might be security settings, though that seems unlikely if it worked at PCW.
