The settings I use (on BT/2wire firmware) are:

ATM Circuit Identifier: VPI:  0   VCI: 38

ATM Encapsulation:  Routed VC-Mux
ATM PVC Search:   Disabled

PPPoA

The required settings should be on the user area of the IDNet website, and how to enter them on Glenn's link.

Hope this helps.

Many of you will be aware of my problems with a long line frequent dissconnections and interferance from virgin trains.

Finally this router has sorted all that out NO DISSCONNECTIONS SINCE IT WENT IN!!

Normally i get 3-10 a day, some may think that quite bad-when i started i was getting 100-200 a day.

all cabling replaced all extensions re-wired properly, several microfilters tried (settled on a solwise faceplate) BT special investigations team got involved, i have tested in excess of 15 adsl routers/modems.

So if you have along line and/or interference from trains etc i would strongly recommend one of these routers (or the 1800 variant).

Rik

That's quite a result - presumably we no longer have to refer to you as the Pendolino Dropout? :)

Hey Rik, Looks like another convert to the BT 2700HGV. When are you going to convinced and join us? The HGV fan club will be nearly as big as the Idnet fan club.  ;)

Woo Hoo, when I first swapped to the 2wire I was on a 1750k profile, that rose to 2500k after a few weeks, today I have taken another look via BT's speedtester, here are the results

IP profile for your line is - 3000 kbps
    DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)  3456 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 2765 kbps

Rik, if it can improve my line throughput then I would think it could do similar to yours, get one now  ;D
