Hi
just trying to setup the smtp server in Thunderbird. What would my account username and password be?
Tried using Customer login and password supplied with no joy.
Thanks
Ted

Hi Ted

Go to your customer account page on the IDNet website and take a look at the email setup option there. It lists the username and password for each mail account.

Hi Rik
Yes thats the list of email boxes and individual passwords for each of them and they work fine.
What i need is the account name and password to access the outgoing server at smtp.idnet.com?

I'm sorry, I don't follow, Ted. Using the account information from the website should get you access to the smtp server. What am I missing?

It does make it difficult to work out which was is up, doesn't it. :) Glad you're sorted.

I don't think you actually need the log in details for the SMTP server do you?
Simon.

Seems you just need an email address and the password for that box. Was a bit different at F2S where it was (username)-f2s-com format.

There's a setup guide here if you're not sure of anything.
