Rik,
on and off !

tried all different combinations on the other options as well - no effect. Still only getting 600kps max.

Where have others sourced there 2700's ?

Mike

Lance

I brought mine from ebay, but it was a private seller who had just one and had previously used it himself, after sourcing it from BT.

Mine came from eBay via another member, Mike, as did Gary's. Sam's came from patioheater, but he puts a markup on.

Mine was from DigiDave through eBay. There is a dodgy LED, but otherwise it's working great.

Likewise, not working at all.

Will not connect.

I have heard of DigiDave being referred to as DodgyDave prior to Rik's use of the term in this thread...

Done a bit of research, found this;

Also his Forum is closed..

I will say that I remember reading elsewhere that someone emailed DigiDave mentioning that something on the router wasn't working (may have been a LED) but didn't affect the function of the router. DigiDave sent out another one as a replacement and didn't bother asking for the dodgy one back, meaning the person ended up having two!

I guess it is a case of 'are you feeling lucky' when buying from him!

Its a shame when a seller can ruin peoples experiences of a good product by being in this case, Dodgy Dave as Rik so eloquently put  :) Hope you all get your cash back from him
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Sebby

I don't for one minute think there's anything dodgy about this guy. I'm sure he'll sort us out. :)

Judging by someone else's experience, we may not even have to send our old routers back. Then we really may have a communal 2700HG. ;)

Yes, I have read a few of them Seb, but I want a full refund, if it will not connect, including all postal charges, so I think I may be struggling.

Okay, you can ask for a refund. You don't really need a 2Wire anyway with such a good line.  ;D

Well I had one last play with the 2700 last night, followed all of the earlier advice kindly given, turned off Comodo etc. etc.

Nothing..zilch, still will not connect, so it is now back in it's box, awaiting a response from the seller.

Thanks everyone, good job my Zyxel is still doing a sterling job. ;)

Oh well.. ;D

It's probably sulking because it can't do a better job, In. ;)
