E Mail when can I use it

I know Im asking a few questions,but I trust this band of whatever,I have set up my e mail here but when will it actually be able to receive emails,sounds dumb but the wife has called me worse,she normally calls me David.
I did try sending one but iit kept being returned.makes sense

You should be able to use it immediately. What you won't be able to do until you are connected is use the IDNet smtp server to send, though. For that, you will need to use your current ISP's smtp server. If you want to test the account, PM me your email address and I'll whack a message off to you.
