It's Parcelforce 24, Gary. ;)
thats Ok then so midnight will be about right ;) when i ordered my N95 8GB I was getting so annoyed, I just cant  wait patiently Sebby, not for gadgets anyway. I'll probably get the N96 later this year and pass the N95 8 to my wife, that way I feel justified to spend the money  as I always buy sim free handsets , so many times the firmware on contract phones is butchered.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

I know exactly what you mean, Gary. I'm sitting here looking out the window, hoping to see Parcelforce van!

Sorry about that Seb, it is so bloody annoying, you wait in all day...nothing, have you checked the web site to see if that has been altered.?

Anything and everything that I post on here is purely my opinion, it ain't going to change the world, you are under no obligation to agree with me, it is purely my expressed opinion.

I hate waiting for goods on a Saturday, knowing that if they don't arrive, there's nothing you can do till Monday. :(

The website is still showing out for delivery as the status. I can't see it turning up today somehow...  ::)

Lance

If I'm expecting a delivery and it gets to about half four, I tend to phone up the delivery company and ask when it is going to be delivered.

Done this a few times with citylink. Once they forgot to load the item on the van so had to make a special delivery that night, and another time the driver who would have normally done my round wasn't working. One both occassions, as the items were dispatched by next day delivery, I pushed for them to delivery on time and they did. The customer service at the depot to get the issues resolved was good on both occassions.

I'm now not sure which phone to get myself. The X1 looks great, and will have a good screen. The N96 also looks good and should be out a bit earlier than the XI (I've seen May 7th mentioned for the N96), but I feel it is let down by not having the Xenon flash or graphics chip aas in the N95 8gb. The N82 in black also looks good, but will be almost 6 months old by the time I get it in May. Depending on what the X1 is like, and when it is actually realised, that is the way I'm going at the moment.

I looked at the o2 stella (?) today and that looked quite a nice phone. I quite liked the qwerty keypad on the slide.

Another classic case of the PO keeping their tracking up to date. Sorry, Sebby, it must be frustrating for you. :(

I was going to take your advise, but their customer services close at 12.30 on a Saturday. :(

It is a bit, but I won't let it ruin my weekend. It's just a shame I'm away for the next week as it'll be next weekend when I get it now.  :'(

Going anywhere nice?

That is a drag - could you get them to deliver to an alternative address as they have failed to meet the delivery you paid for? Might be worth a nag at Play.com.

Unfortunately not. I'm away on an audit, and I was quite hoping to have the P1 so I could visit IDNetters in the hotel (I can do it on my current phone, but it's not great). Still, if they have wi-fi, I might be able to get on on my laptop.  :fingers:

Delivery was free, Rik. I'm not annoyed with Play.com; they never promise delivery today, I just got my hopes up as it was sent by Parcelforce 24, and the tracking number said (and still does) it was out for delivery today.

That's a shame, Seb, and very disappointing.  You just can't trust anyone to do a job properly these days, except IDNet, of course.  ;)

It is a shame about the N96 and the graphics side but I have read it should not effect as much as you would think, cant for the life of me remember why though. I had the O2 stellar but for everyday usability its not ideal, sending texts can be a pain and for someone walking about it would be impossible also there was no flash player available for it and its version of IE is awful, you really have to use opera, also it has no flash on the camera at all. Zenon flashes are better but I bet with all the features of the N96 it would eat the battery, the N95 8GB I have does me quite nicely for now but I'll check a N96 out to see what its like.

Sorry to hear that Sebby I have had the same issue as you myself, it should turn up Monday but that's no consolation now :( just checked something Sebby parceforce 24 is next working day so that would not be a Saturday surely? I know Special delivery items can be delivered to residential addresses on Saturdays, I just looked on the parcelforce website here http://www.parcelforce.com/portal/pw/content1?catId=4500039&mediaId=load105038 "Non Working Days     Saturday and Sunday. Saturday deliveries are available at a premium" http://www.parcelforce.com/portal/pw/worldwidedirectory?catId=19300174&pageId=wwd_countryinfo&country=7

Hmm, well whatever the case, it didn't arrive today, and the site is still showing it as out for delivery. It's a bit annoying as I'd have liked to take it away with me, but I'll be back on Friday and I'll have it then (hopefully!).

" out for delivery " in Parcelfarce speak, probably means that it is sitting in a Parcelfarce van, locked in their yard somewhere Sebby.

Sorry that it didn't arrive. >:(

Honestly, I won't let it get to me, In. I can wait one more week (or so I keep telling myself). :)

It is possible that it was on the van, but due to traffic etc, the driver ran out of time before all parcels were delivered. I've known that happen a couple of times with Parcelfoce to people I know.
