Which firewall should be mine now?

Looking for secure (although game friendly/torrent friendly)
Low system footprint (kinda throws zonealarm out doesnt it?)
Not going to BSOD my system randomly (...comofo comodo)

Rik

Which version of Comodo, Sam? I've not seen any complaints about v2.

Avoid AVG :p
Avoid Zonealarm

NOD32 gets good reviews. Other than that, I'd say use Windows Firewall as long as you're a careful user that doesn't randomly download any old rubbish.

I use Comodo v 3.0.18.309, no problems at all  :thumb:

Well v3

I like to keep up to date and i was kinda worried when it wouldnt let me boot without a bsod (had to safe mode remove it!)

Ive heard of outpost being quite popular - comodo used to hinder torrents even after allowing it through

Rik

Might be worth dropping to v2 of Comodo, Sam, people seem to be having no issues with that.

AVOID OUTPOST!

They used to be good a few years ago, but the program has all sorts of problems now. One of which is silently blocking email programs, so you don't know you have NOT sent an email!

I say Windows Firewall behind your router's firewall. That has minimal impact on system resources and I've never had any problems with it :)
