Rik

My router has just re-booted at 12 days, 12 hours and 17 minutes, give or take a few minutes.

Weird.  ???

That's apx. 300 hours.  Does your router have a 300 hour lease set on it at all?  Just a silly thought.

Alf :)

Rik

Not that I've been able to find, Alf. :( Even if it did, why not just renew the lease - instead it goes for a full power-cycle reboot.

Glenn

Is there anything on the scream forum about a 300hr reboot with the SBC firmware?

Haven't looked, tbh, Glenn. I rarely get outside this place. :)

You may find reference to the problem in here there are 44 pages to wade through though.

Only 44, it's lucky they haven't got us amongst them. ;) Thanks, Glenn, I'll take a look in the morning.

Sebby

Mine is exactly the same, Rik. It's always at around the 12 day mark. It's a very strange one! ???

Rik

Isn't it, Sebby. I could understand it dropping PPP due to a leasing issue, but it's a full power cycle it does. I'm beginning to wonder if it's something to do with the US telecomms system, ie a design requirement for over there.

Another random thought, Rik.  Does the router try to do a check with BT every 12 days and because it can't reboots?
------
Alf :)

Rik

I don't think so, Alf, as it has the SBC firmware and doesn't phone home. Sebby also has this issue, and is also running SBC. Those with the BT firmware don't seem to see it. I hate puzzles.  :(

Puzzles I don't mind, not being able to solve them really gets me though and I don't have a 2700 either yet I can emphasize with your aggravation.  Got to lay down now too many long words for this time of morning.  ;D

I think this is a puzzle we won't be able to piece together...  :P

Once again, bang on the 300 hour mark - I thought it was tomorrow, I must learn to count!

Cookiemonster

Just been reading this and i must say I'm very bamboozled about it! Is it just you that this seems to affect?

Rik

Sebby had the same problem, Steve. It seems peculiar to single SSID models with the SBC formware.

Does it affect your sync in anyway or do you just reboot at the same

Rik

It dropped 80k this time, but it hasn't affected the profile. I try to remember to shut the router down overnight on day 11, which ensures synch isn't affected, but I haven't yet written an automatic reminder program. ;)

lol!! Well at least that's something.  :thumb:

Lance

Could you set a reminder using a recurring event in Outlook's calendar?

Rik

Or on my Palm, Lance. Just keep forgetting to do it. As it's 12 days 12 hours, a re-boot on the morning of the 12th day would do nicely. :)

Rik, if you use Outlook or something, put a reminder in the calendar
