Well that was very fast.the ram I ordered yesterday afternoon has just been delivered very good service from crucial...have to double check they are the correct modules for the machine but I am optimistic as they worked it out from the scan and the motherboard installed so will install them in a little while.this will all being well double the ram... :fingers:

Great service as usual from Crucial, just remember that they only fit one way round David, there is an offset slot so you cannot get them the wrong way round.

Also just pop the end clips down before fitting them, then with even firm pressure just push downwards on them,  the end clips should just close themselves .. sorted. :thumb:

Got the sides off and Im looking at two memory slots which have modules in no room for any others,am I supposed to replace the existing ones ?

You are excused David ;D, some Motherboards have 4 memory slots, but as yours has only 2, not a lot of choice. ;)

I just knew it was too good.....these do not fit...having taken mine out I see that the installed ones are DDR 533 CL4

yet the ones I have recieved are DDR 333 CL2 and they dont fit.in the centre of the of the DDR there is a slot which on the pcs is a arch like cutut but on th enew ones its not matching up...time to Email them I guess and whilst these are out will take the correctg number

I am no expert David, but I would have thought that they should fit, they may not be absolutely identical.

Have you tried fitting them both ways round, David?  The slots on the modules are offset, so the modules only fit one way into the motherboard slots.  It's unusual for Crucial to get it wrong.   :-\

It seems that yours may be DDR2 type David, in which case they will not fit, DDR2 are the newer and cheaper type.

According to Wikopedia the speed that David quoted means that the new ones from Crucial are DDR, his existing ones are DDR2.

So it seems that Crucial got it wrong. :(

They sent DDR 333
Mine are  DDR2

The centered is too far offset for them to bed in.....

yes Simon this makes the centre lug even more off so no chance here..
