Hi ..not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am sure a mod will move if I am wrong!

I am presently with MAAF (Mad as a fish) and I am thinking of migrating over to you guys here at IDNet..To be honest my present ISP has been real good up to now, but it seems the past 4 months service has demisnished "badly".

I also prefer Uk based support and have been recommended via a friend on http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk that when it comes to support IDNet are second to none!
At the mo..I have MAAF 's top package (8mb Max 50 Gig download, free basic webspace - which I use!) for £29.99 per month. Now I realise MAAF is what I refer to a "mass market ISP" .. and I think I would like to move over to a quality ISP...this one at IDNet!  ;)

I download a lot and use it for both work & leasure (work from home)..so I need a generous download capacity. Now I realise that the new 8Mb Max broadband has a few issues... I moved from the 2Mb Unlimited to this Max service and still only get 2.5 Mb...crazy really??  ::)

I have a budget of about £35 per month and wondering which package is the best for my prupose..any advice guys??

Thanks
Tony

Rik

The new Home Max service might suit you:

Increased monthly download allowance: up to 60Gb per month included for a monthly price of £34.99 inc-VAT (15Gb of which can be used during the hours of 8am to 1am). And as this package is based around the BT IPstream Max PREMIUM service your traffic benefits from a higher priority above all the other standard ADSL services, across the BT broadband network. The package also enjoys a higher upload speed of up-to 832 Kbps. [Extra bandwidth £1/Gb as normal]

Oh and service is second to none...

Again i can not fault the service ive been getting from idnet.

I would suggest the Home Supermax option with the 60gb allowance but i really would give idnet a call as im sure they will be only to willing to help clear up any questions you have.

Altho idnet are a very very good isp they arent for everyone (i dont mean that in a nasty way) and may not be able to fill your needs but im sure if you join them you will be very happy.

Thanks for the replies guys...actually popped over to their website and browsed there packages n stuff (I know should of done earlier.. ::) )

I wouldn't say I was a "demanding" user really..tech support wise its gotta be summit drastic for me to rind (I work in I.T.) ... BUT I do prefer UK based support, find it more personal.

Just my bandwidth really..I download A LOT and frequently use P2P (Bitcomet)...but 60 Gig is adequate I think for my needs. Its mainly the useless connection with my ISP I have issues with..the "package" 50Gigs for £29.99 aint too bad considering the "extras"..but not much use if you can't exactly "use it"..

Thanks again...now off to get the exact date my contact is up and get my MAC code..

Don't forget that IDNet don't give free webspace so you'll either have to set up your own web server and run it through your connection (if its only for light use) or get a hosting package from one of the many companies around.
