TI v10 and Vista SP1

I suppose Acronis must operate at low level to do what it does, but I do wish they would get their act together a bit more, I always get a sense of holding things together with bits of sticky tape.

Yes and your backup program is the last thing that you want held together with sticky tape.

I seem to be lucky and haven't had any problems with TI on vista (pre or post sp1).

I use Memeo AutoBackup (my Western Digital My Book came with a license key). It seems to work okay, but I get a similar impression (the sticky tape thing).

I haven't either but I thought that I'd give the recommendation a try as I've seen it suggested elsewhere that most people don't need it. I can always turn it on again if necessary.

The worry with acronis, is that their are no program updates occurring anymore. I heard they lost a programmer, even T11 has had no update since 12/07

Seen it happen with security suites Lance, all you need is the brains of the outfit to go and the rest are left flapping in the wind
