Now my sync speed is 5120 which equates to 4500 profile with 9dB SNR, now my profile is currently 3000 :bawl:

do i wait 10 days or should i phone idnet to get them to kick BT?

Lance

Glad you've seen a sync improvement. :)

It's unlikely that IDNet will be able to get BT to do anything, but if they can put forward a stong enough case then BT will change it. In any case, its a maximum of 5 days  :P

Thought it was 10 oh well 5 less days to wait.

then ill contact support if it hasnt changed.

my line stats snr still looks like a see saw. stays about 9 then when a train goes by drops to between 2 and 3 then back up to 9 then it ocassionally goes to 11 then back to 9, you get the picture.

Bring on fibre to the home!

Rik

Or trains that don't cause so much trouble...

Glad things are better, Dean. It shouldn't be too long before the profile increases. :)

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 4500 kbps
    DSL connection rate: 832 kbps(UP-STREAM)  5120 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 3704 kbps

looks about right for a test at 20:56?

all agree?

speedtest.net gave me 4421 and 702 (best of 5 tests)

adslguide gave me

Speed Down     3882.73 Kbps ( 3.8 Mbps )
Speed Up    590.56 Kbps ( 0.6 Mbps )

about 1meg up prior to wiring change!

Sebby

It's a bit low for that profile, but chances are that the exchange is a bit congested.

Rik

Looks a lot better, Paul.  :thumb: As Sebby says, there may be some congestion, or it may just be residual noise, but with a bit of luck you could squeeze 2-300k more out of the profile.
