how to remove signature

i,ve been trying to remove my signature from my posts , but no matter how i try it will not go away.

why do i want to remove it ?

for reasons that i almost understand , my speed has risen into the 7000 kbps and higher  region , and no, i have not moved into the exchange.

i have collated as much information as i can from this forum, on getting better speed.
and have made quite alot of of the suggested improvements, monitoring each change carefully for a few days , then moving on to the next suggestion,

it strikes me that there is no ONE thing , that gives the eureka feeling , its a combination of many items
but i do seem to be on the winning side.

when i have completed this project ,i will post a complete explaination of my "twiddling" may be it will help others.
