You've been very quiet the past few days, Jill. Everything OK?

Good work David,  :thumb:

Here is another way to get an overview of what you computer build is.
Use:
Start -> Help and Support -> Use Tools to view your computer information ...... -> My Computer Information -> View general system information about this computer

Using this route in XP should show you a picture like the one I have attached below.

Thanks Rik I kept very silent.the error was on the initial scan they had not flagged that it was an upgrade but I would still use them again and to be honest it didn't break the bank @£12.99 each so although some confusion it all worked out in the end  ;)

Thanks Ray I have been busy shopping around looking at various sites with the view to build one, have to increase the budget though as £500 is not enough when I take into account all the parts etc and If I go ahead I would get the best I can afford.not a cheap hobby but still keen on building one...

It's a very satisfying experience, David, I've done it about 4 times now and not encountered any un-surmountable problems although the air tended to turn blue at times and the language a bit ripe  :), they all ended up working OK with no damaged components.

Be careful though once you've successfully done one it can become rather addictive.  :) ;)
