Microsoft has released Security Advisory 944653 to address a vulnerability found in the Macrovision "secdrv.sys" driver included with Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP.  The "secdrv.sys" driver fails to properly handle configuration parameters and may allow a local attacker to gain escalated privileges on an affected system. the patched driver can be found here http://www.macrovision.com/promolanding/7352.htm

Real Player 11 released, with a rather nice video capture for youtube etc just click the download button on the video you want and save, considering its generally a loathsome program that I only use for BBC content like radio 1 etc, this version is not bad

I wouldn't touch that yet, Rik, I made the mistake of downloading and installing it yesterday then spent about 2 hours removing it and getting my machine  working again.

One of it's components ramped the cpu usage up to 100% and held it there making the machine totally unusable, I couldn't even boot into safe mode to remove it. I had to boot the PC off my Acronis Bartpe rescue disk in the end and delete the offending component from there. I was then able to boot into Windows and uninstall the rest of the programme, I have now migrated my NOD32 licence to the new Security  Suite and it works a treat. 

Shame really because version 2 of the Comodo Firewall worked well for me.
