I'm still looking at but I think it's happened as a result of a bug fix and that it's working as intended :(

iTunes 11.1 for those that need it came out last night. If you are using iOS7 you need it.

We'll be on Firefox 42 by December

Lona

I've had it with Firefox as can't get to work on this forum.  I've tried all the font sizes and can't see a zoom button.  Forum displays fine on Internet Explorer so thinking of uninstalling firefox.

Have you tried a new profile in Firefox, Lona?

I don't have any old profiles as I re-installed windows so I would need to select default which as you said would perhaps lose all my bookmarks that I created.
I've dragged the zoom icon to the taskbar so using that at the moment as the font resizing  just makes no difference.

The default profile is the one in use now.  If you use the Profile Manager to create a new profile, then you can switch to that new profile, and retain the old one, thus saving the data (Bookmarks, etc).  If the new profile solves the problem, you can then simply copy over the Bookmarks from the old profile.  It's like having two versions of Firefox.

But, on that page I linked to, there seems to be an easier method which might be worth a try:

Other than that, I don't really know what else to suggest.  :dunno:

On my Mac its view zoom + or - its that simple, but the default fonts are fine. Its worth exporting your bookmarks to a HTML file so you can reinstall all of them in one go if you reinstall Firefox. starting a new profile is very easy.

Thanks Simon. :) I've reset Firefox and it saved all my bookmarks but still tiny font in idnetters so for now just using the zoom feature as I don't want to muck about again changing the font size.

In which case, I can only suggest that it must be a Windows setting somewhere, that's affecting Firefox font sizes, as the forum displays the same in my Firefox, as it does in IE, and that's using Windows 7.  I believe Windows will remember the zoom setting for individual websites, so that may be your easiest solution, Lona.  :dunno:

Have you got the Menu bar enabled on your Firefox, Lona? I don't think its enabled by default, if you have got it visible you should be seeing this if you click on 'View'

Switch to Chrome Lona.  It's  the best thing I ever did.  Mrs Clive was a big fan of Firefox but it started to give her problems around a year ago and I persuaded her to switch.  She reckons it's the best browser she's ever used.  Remember, FF never gets better, it just gets worse with each update!  ::)

You are correct Simon. I found the dpi setting and changed it to larger and all is well now.  I don't need to zoom as all sites are readable.

Unless you are using ESR release the security updates you have not had patched will leave you very vulnerable,  Id wait for add ons to catch up tbh browser is front line for attacks along with flash and java etc.
