I posted this in computer discussion because the lines are getting very blurred.

I just got myself a Nokia N95 8GB phone, and being my usual paranoid self, am looking for anti-virus protection. Being a tight ass, I don't want to pay.

The only free offering I can find is Robota Mobile Anti-Virus. However, I can find very little information about it other than from their own site. The site looks well made, and includes contact details in the Netherlands, but that proves nothing.

Has anyone come across them, and can vouch for them. The download itself is tiny (23k) so I suspect that it is simply an installer that will download more. Before I let it near my phone, I'd rather check.

The download file checks clean with AVG on the PC, BTW.

Well - after reading around a few forums and blogs, the consensus seems to be that AV protection on S60 devices is pointless, providing protection against non-existent threats.

Think I'm gonna go with the majority on this and say "To hell with it - I don't need no stinkin' protection".

Maybe mother of 20 in Ireland thought the same thing?

I was going to say, mobile antivirus is pointless. There are products out there, but they're not necessary.
