I've had my 2700HGV for a while and have posted about issues of keep loosing the wireless.

So I decided to disable the wireless and use an old Belkin Wireless access point.

Since then my wireless has been rock solid and it works any where in the house. With the 2700HGV it was very temperamental.

The strange thing I have noticed is since I disabled the 2700HGV wireless my DSL SYNC has increased in speed.

I was connecting around 4400 kbps, now it's been stable at 5792 kbps for over 19 days.
It may be a coincidence but !!!!!

The 2700 works well for most, but not all, and there are some dodgy ones about.  I got though three before finding one that has worked for nearly a year now, without issue.  You could have just been unlucky.

It does sound like the router is putting out a lot of noise, doesn't it. :(

I also had 3, one didn't work at all, the other 2 gave similar results to yours, they actually reduced my speed, they were all " refurbished  " units tho'. ;)
Anything and everything that I post on here is purely my opinion, it ain't going to change the world, you are under no obligation to agree with me, it is purely my expressed opinion.

Surely you meant to say that "the wireless was very noisy" :)

At least it all seems to be working OK now.

The belkin is fine for the Wireless and the 2700 is doing a good job on the dsl.

Rik

A workable compromise, even if it's not perfect. The two 2700s I have are both fine with wireless on.
